Schaumburg Epoxy Flooring is an epoxy flooring company serving Schaumburg, IL and the surrounding suburbs, with more than 20 years spent preparing and coating concrete. We work on garage floors in ranch homes and townhomes, basement slabs, showrooms, offices, hotel back-of-house areas, kitchens and warehouse floors.
What ties that work together is a view of floors that starts underneath the coating. Most failed floors we are called to fix did not fail because of the color or the brand on the bucket. They failed because the concrete under them was sealed, damp, cracked or too cold on the day the resin went down.
Our Approach

We open every slab mechanically, with a diamond grinder or a shot blaster, and we do not acid etch. Moisture testing is written into the scope of every garage and basement job rather than offered after a blister appears, because a newer garage slab may have been poured with no vapor retarder under it at all. We read the cracks and any old coating before we quote, and when a slab needs repair before it can be coated, we say so plainly. A coating is a film that follows the concrete beneath it, and we tell customers that before the job rather than promising it will stop a moving crack.
Our proposals name the product, the system build and the finished thickness, so what we quote can be checked against what we install. We schedule curing against the slab’s temperature and the dew point, not the calendar, and we will tell you when an unheated garage should wait for spring. Before a home job is sold, we read the warranty exclusions out loud with moisture first, and every homeowner receives a written contract and the state’s consumer-rights pamphlet, as the Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act requires.
Because Illinois issues no state license for flooring or coating work, we confirm each village’s own contractor registration, bond and insurance rules before scheduling, and we ask the permit desk whether a coating counts as decorating or needs a permit. Townhome and condominium jobs are planned around the association’s rules and the neighbors’ access to their garages, and commercial floors around the hours the building has to stay open. Every coating we use is chosen within the Illinois VOC limit, and we never sell a floor coating as radon reduction.
